Mercuryo, a global payments infrastructure provider, has launched Passkey—a FIDO Alliance-built authentication feature designed to streamline Web3 payments. The integration eliminates One Time Passcode (OTP) requirements, replacing them with biometric solutions like face or fingerprint scans for seamless fiat-to-crypto transactions.

The feature will be available across Mercuryo's network of 200+ partners, supporting Windows, iPhone, and Android users. Passkey's encryption standards aim to enhance security while improving user adoption through intuitive login experiences.
